Happy 2025, friends! With a new year comes new beginnings and resets, new reading goals to set and hope to achieve, and new books to add to the ever-growing TBR. (Some of us are working on our collecting hobby…Me, I am us!)
Reading goals can not only be super exciting and refreshing, but they can also be slightly intimidating. I am not a vision board girly; I’ve tried it many times, and they have only heightened my anxieties. Soooo, one thing I’m really hoping to do better at is setting smaller, achievable, but still challenging goals that have me focus more on the books I’ve been meaning and wanting to read but may have gotten slightly distracted by FOMO. This is where I will also mention ya girl is a mood reader! I am holding space for all the mood readers here! Being a mood reader has many of its own challenges, such as:
- starting multiple books and not wanting to finish them
- starting a series and waiting till you can’t remember the books before you try to read the next book
- setting a monthly TBR with super high hopes but then completely abandoning said list

Again, for 2025, I am setting super achievable goals that, if I really focus, will help me get that gold star!
2025 Goals
Here are my top 3 goals for 2025, to find out more head on over to my IG page.

- I’d like to read at least 5 debut books, whether they are books published in 2025 or they are debut books of the author’s.
- I will hopefully read at least 10 indie-published books, but this will be a challenge because I’m not always reaching for my Kindle. Honestly, sometimes these books are super chunky, and the Kindle just doesn’t do it for me.
- I’d like to read 12 Non-fiction books. Non-fiction, for me, typically involves the form of a memoir. Even though I studied Wildlife Biology, I don’t get too excited over stats or history. But I do really enjoy learning about the life lessons someone experienced and how that made them who they are today. Auntie Viola’s book *chef’s kiss*
Year Long Chaos
Along with these BIG year goals, I am also participating in year-long challenges across many different platforms. I love these challenges because they provide colorful prompt charts and a different perspective on what books I could prioritize to complete them. These are totally optional, but I do love seeing the new templates and filling those out as I complete the books!
I’d love to know what goals you may have for yourself this year, book-related or not. A goal is a goal, and there’s space for celebration everywhere! Happy Reading
Book Reviews & ARC’s
Firstly, I want to say thank you for considering me for your book reviewers; I am super excited. I love to read and encourage adult readers to take the leap, pick up a book, slap on a pair of headphones, and listen to an audiobook. While I love reviewing ARCs and books from authors, I want to provide guidelines and answer frequently asked questions on our process.

Memoirs are my actual favorites! They’re soooo good! Maybe a future post could be your favorite memoirs? :)
